CASE STUDY:
London 2012 Paralympic Games
Nova Lecterns was commissioned to manufacture a pair of bespoke lecterns for the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
The sculptures on the speech lecterns, created by artist Tony Heaton – himself a former wheelchair basketball international and now chief executive of the disability arts organisation Shape – were formed from parts of sports wheelchairs and running blades. We mounted the parts on a lectern made from a 25mm clear acrylic sheet.
Uniquely, the lecterns had to be mountable in purpose-built slots on the stage, which enabled them to be conveniently removed and repositioned for the many planned events. Find out more by clicking the button below.

We often have a stock of lecterns in the UK that are classed as refurbished, used, B-Grade or prototypes, and often run incredible offers and sales on these.
